Judge Cornelius J. O’Sullivan, Jr., was appointed to the Ohio Eighth District Court of Appeals on December 15, 2021, by Governor Mike DeWine.
With more than 30 years of legal experience and over 26 years in civil litigation, Judge O’Sullivan routinely handled large loss matters and tried over 40 cases as the first chair attorney.
Judge O’Sullivan’s practice included catastrophic claims, wrongful death, construction defect, real estate, professional liability, long term care, trucking and UM/UIM litigation.
Judge O’Sullivan has been trained and certified to provide services as a professional mediator. He is a past-president of the Cleveland Association of Civil Trial Attorneys and has been recognized by the Defense Research Institute (DRI) for his exceptional service. He has been a member of the DRI’s Construction Law Steering Committee.
Judge O’Sullivan has provided his legal services on a Pro Bono basis to The City Mission, Special Olympics, Habitat for Humanity and the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. He has volunteered to be a “Partner in Justice” with the Legal Aid society.
